Preamble

The purpose of this policy is to clearly inform event directors and the participants of their events of the terms for privacy under Athens to Atlantis. Outlined below are short paragraph summaries of the legal terms for both the participants and event directors to aid in quick understanding of our privacy policy by informal methods. In addition, the legal terms and legal definitions which ultimately enforce the privacy policy are provided below.

Participants
In general, Athens to Atlantis will collect contact information in order to process your payment and registration, and provide a registration acknowledgement and a copy of the receipt. In all cases, your full name, gender, age, date of birth, other phenotypic measurements as necessary, and location will be supplied to the event director. Full address, email address, and phone information may be provided to event directors so that they may mail or provide other necessary information, or submit missing articles or awards to you.

Athens to Atlantis will not provide any of your information to any other parties without your approval. We have a very strict privacy policy, and will always get your consent prior to supplying your information to third parties or contacting you about any products or services of Athens to Atlantis. At times, event directors may make certain offerings in the form of email or mail communications. Again, your consent will be obtained before any such communications will be initiated.

Event Directors
In general, Athens to Atlantis will collect contact information and other information in order to open your event for registration on our Web site. In all cases, your full name, full home and work address, full event address will be collected in order to identify you. In addition, your billing address may also be collected. Lastly, certain event information will be necessary to open your event for registration on our site and in addition certain information will be displayed on our Web site for your event.

In order to assure full privacy and security protection of the participants and event directors under our privacy terms and other terms, ALL ENTITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EVENT DIRECTORS MUST NOT PROVIDE AN "INDIRECT LINK" TO OUR WEB SITE. A "direct link" is allowed and is a link that causes the browser to navigate entirely from a page not on our site, which contains the "direct link", to our page entirely. In a similar fashion, links with target= "_blank" are also allowed. An "indirect link" to our site is generally any link which causes the browser to display or utilize information (directly or indirectly) from our site and from another site on the same browser screen. Other terms related to "indirect links" also apply*. If Athens to Atlantis becomes aware of "indirect links" to our site in any way, Athens to Atlantis reserves the right to do one or more of the following: place your event's registration on hold, banish your event from our site for some undetermined amount of time, and take legal action as we see necessary. Terms related to "direct links" and "indirect links" are included in but not limited to this Privacy Policy and "Terms of Use".

Definitions

Athens to Atlantis is referred to by the following: "the company", "we", "us", and "our".

Customers. Customers include but are not limited to event directors and participants, which are referred to by one of the following: "customer", "you", "your", and "yours".

Customer types
Participants. Participants include but are not limited to any person or entity registering for an event.

Event directors. Event directors include, but are not limited to the primary event director, event director assistants, and event coordinators.

Web site. Includes both "regular" and secure content through any communication method on the athenstoatlantis.com domain and subdomains thereof.

Terms

1.0 Participants.
1.1 Information collection related to the company and event directors.
1.1.A Information used by the company to process your order and provide customer support. The company will collect your contact information, billing address, and electronic account information supplied to us during registration and payment for your event.
1.1.B Information supplied to the event directors.
1.1.B.1 Minimum information supplied. Without restrictions, your full name, gender, age, date of birth, and location will be supplied to the event director. Depending upon the event, other information such as other phenotypic measurements may be necessary based upon the realm of the event.
1.1.B.2 Extended information supplied. Extended information may include but is not limited to your full address, email address, and phone information which may be provided to event directors so that they may mail or provide other INFORMATION THAT IS NECESSARY AND DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE EVENT, or submit missing articles or awards to you. The information needed by each event director can vary based upon the event type. Event directors must qualify for extended information before it is supplied to them.
1.1.B.3 Qualifications for extended information. It will be up to the company to decide when and how extended information can be supplied to event directors. In no case will extended information be given to third parties for uses of any reason without your consent. Nor will extended information supplied to event directors be in any way usable by event directors for reasons other than those directly related to the event unless you have given your consent to supply your information for their direct use outside the event purposes or to their third parties.
1.2 Information collection related to third parties and event directors.
1.2.A Disclosure to third parties. Only through your consent will the company provide any of your information to other parties including but not limited to third parities for their utilization directly on behalf of the company, third parties for their utilization on the event directors behalf, or to event directors for their utilization beyond the scope of their event for which you registered.
2.0 Event Directors.
2.1 Information used by the company to open your event on our Web site and provide customer support. The company will collect your full name, full home and work address, and full event address. In addition, your billing address may also be collected. Other event information may also be necessary to open your event for registration on our site.
2.2 Information supplied to us that will be displayed for your event. The company may display the following information on our site to identify you and your event to its participants: event director full name and contact info, event mail-in contact address, event location, and other information as seen necessary.
2.3 Links and Terms of Use. In order to assure full privacy and security protection of the participants and event directors under our privacy terms and other terms, ALL ENTITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EVENT DIRECTORS MUST NOT PROVIDE AN "INDIRECT LINK" TO OUR WEB SITE. A "direct link" is allowed and is a link that causes the browser to navigate entirely from a page not on our site, which contains the "direct link", to our page entirely. In a similar fashion, links with target= "_blank" complying with W3C standards are also allowed. Terms related to "direct links" and "indirect links" are also given in but not limited to "Terms of Use".
2.3.A Violations of Links and Terms of Use for event directors. In the event of a violation, the company reserves the right to do one or more of the following: place your event's registration on hold, banish your event from our site for some undetermined amount of time, take on other reasonable actions given the circumstances, and take legal action as we see necessary.
2.4 Protection of participant information. You agree to not disclose any participant information to third parties or utilize for your own purposes except for purposes of processing and displaying event results for your event, or where consent by the participant has been given through our Web site specifically about third party services or products or your services or products.
2.4.A Event result limitations. The following contact information and phenotypic items may be included within event results that are displayed: full name, city, state or province, country, region, age, and other phenotypic measurements.
2.4.B Violations of event results limitations. Violations of "event result limitations" includes use of any information supplied by the company to you that is not within bounds of the "event result limitations".
2.4.B.1 Some examples of contact information items that violate the event result limitations include: street address, mail address, zip code, phone, and email.
2.4.B.2 If a violation to event results limitations occurs, the company reserves the right to place your event's registration on hold, banish your event from our site for some undetermined amount of time, take on other reasonable actions given the circumstances, and take legal action as we see necessary.
3.0 All parties.
3.1 Links and Terms of Use. In order to assure full privacy and security protection of the participants and event directors under our privacy terms and other terms, ALL ENTITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EVENT DIRECTORS, PARTICIPANTS, AND WEB DEVELOPERS MUST NOT PROVIDE AN "INDIRECT LINK" TO OUR WEB SITE. Terms related to "indirect links" are also given in but not limited to "Terms of Use".
3.2 Other items related to Terms of Use. Contact information displayed on our site can be used by participants and event directors directly. Information displayed on our site may not be used for any unsolicited purposes including but not limited to the following: telemarketing, mail-marketing, contact made directly or indirectly on behalf of a business to advertise or with intentions of profitable cause, and acts of hostility or annoyance. Violation to such terms may result in maximum penalties allowable by law brought about by the company and/or its affiliates.
3.3 Information collected or stored while browsing the Web site or submitting information on the Web site. Certain types of information may be collected while utilizing this Web site in any manner. This information remains within the company. The information collected or stored may include "cookies" (non-volatile elements stored temporarily or without expiration), information related to communications protocols, browser information, and in some cases other items that may be unique to your PC. Such items are used for the purposes of statistics, registration, and security in general. Please be aware that your browser may store certain information for which it is not possible for the company or anyone else to control. When submitting information in a form, please be aware that you are sending information over a communications channel that is between your computer and the Web site, and in addition that information may remain stored at a data center, for which the company has access.
4.0 Modification to the Privacy Policy.
4.1 The terms and definitions of the Privacy Policy are subject amendment and/or modification. Such modifications and amendments will be fully disclosed prior to payment processing and/or event opening before enforcement by the company.
4.2 Privacy Policy location. The location of the Privacy Policy may change as a result of but not limited to Web site structure changes, changes in response to government laws, or other legalities seen by the company. Informal [Preamble] terms and legal terms of the agreement may be separated at any time. In any event, the Privacy Policy legal terms will be accessible to all entities for which it applies.
