Preamble

The purpose of the "Terms of Use" is to clearly inform all entities of the intended nature of information portrayal and use by all entities. Outlined below are short paragraph summaries of the legal terms to aid in quick understanding of our "Terms of Use" by informal methods. In addition, the legal terms and legal definitions which ultimately enforce the "Terms of Use" are provided below.

In order to protect the privacy of our participants and race directors, use of any contact information placed on our Web site is strictly prohibited for unsolicited communications. Such terms are located in but not limited to the "Terms of Use" and the "Privacy Policy." Items contained on this site are protected under Copyright law and Copyright registration where applicable.

NO WARRANTY of any kind is given for the information or tools provided on this Web site.

Definitions

Athens to Atlantis is referred to by the following: "the company", "we", "us", and "our".

Customers. Customers include but are not limited to event directors and participants, which are referred to by one of the following: "customer", "you", "your", and "yours".

Customer types
Participants. Participants include but are not limited to any person or entity registering for an event.

Event directors. Event directors include, but are not limited to the primary event director, event director assistants, and event coordinators.

Web site. Includes both "regular" and secure content through any communication method on the athenstoatlantis.com domain and subdomains thereof.

Terms

1.0 Links.
1.1 Indirect links. In order to assure full privacy and security protection of the participants and event directors under our privacy terms and other terms, ALL ENTITIES MUST NOT PROVIDE AN "INDIRECT LINK" TO OUR WEB SITE. An "indirect link" can be any one or combination of the following:
1.1.A Any link or anchor or frame or combination thereof which causes the browser to display or utilize information (directly or indirectly) from our site and from another site on the same browser screen. Specific examples include:
1.1.A.1 Frames. These frames include frames published in the W3C standards.
1.1.A.2 Iframes. These frames include iframes published in the W3C standards.
1.1.A.3 Any other framing mechanisms published in the W3C standards.
1.1.A.4 Script or executable framing mechanisms on the client or server side.
1.1.B Any script controlled mechanisms. Specific examples include:
1.1.B.1 Script popup windows utilizing our Web site in any way.
1.1.B.2 Script background tasks utilizing our Web site in any way.
1.1.C Any "server in the middle" communications. Specific examples include:
1.1.C.1 Another server or process preprocessing information in any way in conjunction with our Web site.
1.2 Deep links. Deep links include references to any sections of the Web site which do not include the full content as normally displayed by a person navigating our site. Deep links are prohibited. Examples of deep links include but are not limited to:
1.2.A A link to a map which is normally part of a subframe or is an embedded object within the Web site.
1.2.B Any embedded active content.
1.3 Violations of links rules. If the company becomes aware of "indirect links" to our Web site by any method, the company reserves the right to do the following:
1.3.A Event directors. We may to do one or more of the following: place your event's registration on hold, banish your event from our site for some undetermined amount of time, or take legal action as we see necessary.
1.3.B All parties except race directors. Take legal action as we see necessary.
2.0 Copyright.
2.1 Items contained on the Web site are protected under Copyright law and Copyright registration where applicable. Modifications, distribution, and reuse of items contained on the Web site are prohibited.
2.2 Although the company may release certain types of software or Web content made readily available under the GNU PL to promote the further development to any community, such releases are entitled to only those parties who have been given expressed written approval by the company.
3.0 Warranty. The information, software, and tools are provided "as is" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
4.0 Modification to the Terms of Use.
4.1 The terms and definitions of the "Terms of Use" are subject amendment and/or modification. Such modifications and amendments will be fully disclosed.
4.2 Terms of Use location. The location of the "Terms of Use" may change as a result of but not limited to Web site structure changes, changes in response to government laws, or other legalities seen by the company. Informal [Preamble] terms and legal terms of the agreement may be separated at any time. In any event, the "Terms of Use" legal terms will be accessible to all entities for which it applies.
