Revised 08/22/2008
Posted 08/22/2008
Preamble
The purpose of this policy is to clearly inform event directors and the participants of their events of the terms for refunds under Athens to Atlantis. Outlined below is a one-paragraph summary of the legal terms for both the participants and event directors to aid in quick understanding of our refund policy by informal methods. In addition, the legal terms and legal definitions which ultimately enforce the refund policy are provided below.
Participants
In general, NO REFUNDS will be issued. However, should a payment processing error* ever occur, Athens to Atlantis will issue a refund provided that Athens to Atlantis finds such errors in supporting records. If such a processing error occurs, and we have not already contacted you, please contact us immediately. Refunds that "qualify" can be initiated up to a 42.195-day period from the time payment was processed, and may take up to 30 days (from initiation) until it is credited to your account or another form of refund payment is received. If you feel you are entitled to a refund because of some specific circumstances related to the event, please contact us. In this case, the refund method and conditions will depend on our discretion and your event director's refund terms and discretion; also, it will depend on whether or not your registration was processed by us. We do not hold any liability for registrations not processed through us. For those registrations processed by us, it is important that you contact us first for resolving any issues related to refunds.
Event directors
With the exception of an opening authorization (if required), there are not any "upfront" fees that event directors must pay prior to opening their event for registration through our site. In general, NO REFUNDS will be issued. If an opening authorization is required, that payment will be refunded provided that Athens to Atlantis finds payment processing errors* in supporting records. Otherwise, in general, no refunds will be issued. Refunds can be initiated up to a 42.195-day period from the time payment was processed, and may take up to 30 days (from initiation) until it is credited to your account or another form refund payment is received. For legal terms and more details, please see the terms and definitions below.

3.3 Refund time period. Refunds that "qualify" can be initiated up to a 42.195-day ("normal") period from the time payment was processed, and may take up to 30 days (from initiation) until it is credited to your account or delivered in some other form, with the following exceptions:
3.3.A A payment processing error of any type can be refunded past the "normal" refund time period for a limited time within bounds of government laws and codes.
3.3.B In the event of a payment processing error not directly controllable by the company, the company will do its best to keep within the "normal" crediting time period based upon the abilities of payment processing entities and any supporting documentation supplied.
3.4 The company is the end payment processor, and is directly responsible for initiating refunds that must be credited back to the card in which you used for payment that was processed by the company in the event that the refund(s) "qualify" or are deemed necessary by payment processing authorities.
4.0 Modification to the Refund Policy.
