General Information | General InformationWelcome to the inaugural Indian Lake Trail Run, featuring a 6k, 12k, and 1k Kid's Fun Run. 100 percent trail!
The event takes place on October 16, 2010 at Indian Lake County Park, approximately 25 minutes northwest of Madison, Wisconsin.
The event is limited to 300 runners. Early entry is encouraged as we anticipate closing out. Registration ends October 14, 2010. There will be no race-day registration. The Kids' Fun Run is free and there is no need to pre-register. For mail-in registration, go to the race website.
All proceeds from the race will go to the park for prairie restoration, trail maintenance, and the establishment of on-site nature education classes for kids.

A link to the course location can be found here | Course | CoursePark main entrance: The main entrance to the park is on Highway 19, about two miles west of U.S. Highway 12.
The kids' 1k course is a gentle loop over grassy trails. Just right for getting kids hooked on exploring the beautiful trails at Indian Lake. Parents, feel free to join youngsters either as an event in itself or a warm-up for the 6k and 12k.
The 6k course begins near the parking lot, takes in some woodland trail, and then loops around Indian Lake on rough grassy trails, providing wonderful views of the park and surrounding valley.
The 12k course has a little bit of everything. Training for Black Hawk Ridge? Ready to take on a longer trail challenge? Want to run 7+ miles of rolling hills and then reward yourself with pumpkin pie? No matter your motives, this mix of singletrack, rough-hewn grassy trail, and double-wide ski trails is just for you. Want to turn on the jets? It's not all hills. There's a relatively flat half-mile stretch near the end where you can show off your speedwork! |
