This race is part of the Marquette Waterfront Festival and is a fund-raiser for programs of the Marquette Neighborhood Association and the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center. The scenic, neighborhood course begins at Yahara Place Park and hugs Lake Monona out and back.
This is an affordable race with awards for men's and women's first, second and third places in both distances. It is part of the Madison Area Running Series.
There is also kids 100 Yard Dash. See details below.
This kids 100 Yard dash is $1.00. No preregistration - same day registration only. Please, register on site. The race will be run in two heats: children up to age 6 and children 7-11. There will be prizes for each winner and participant ribbons for everyone.

Course
This is an out-and-back course that starts at Yahara Place Park and hugs the shoreline of Lake Monona the entire way. All courses are primarily flat. The 10k course has two gentle inclines and one major hill.
Splits are given at the 1 mi. and the finish for the 5k. For the 10K, splits are given at the 1mi, 3.1mi. and finish.
