This race is part of the Marquette Waterfront Festival and is a fund-raiser for eight neighborhood organizations. It starts at Yahara Place Park runs along Lake Monona out and back.
This is an affordable race with awards for first, second and third places. This race is part of the Madison Area Running Series.

Course
This is an out-and-back course that starts at Yahara Place Park and hugs the shoreline of Lake Monona the entire way. All courses are primarily flat. The 10k course has two gentle inclines and one major hill.
Splits are given at the 1mi, and 200 yards before the finish for the 5k. Splits are given at the 1mi, 3.1mi, 5mi, and the 200 yards (update: this is possibly changing to the 2 and 4mi marks) before the finish for the 10k.
